Wow, it's been another brutal year for marinas from the Gulf Coast up the east coast. We just found this photo of the Panama City Marina, where we have stayed previously, and by the looks of it, there is nothing left. Sadly, this is also the case at many other marinas along the Florida panhandle, and some in the Carolinas are still struggling from Florence. As always, our friends at WaterWay Guide maintain a terrific list of all marinas impacted and the current status of each.
Before heading out, we urge you to check this list to ensure the availability of services along your route.
As we have all seen by now, Hurricane Michael was an angry beast and he left his mark by destroying countless homes and boats. Many will rebuild. Some will decide that enough is enough. Whatever they choose, we wish them the very best as they try to piece things back together.
